NextUC has officially announced compatibility of company’s hosted Lync platform with snom and Polycom VoIP desktop phones. The VoIP phones are specifically designed for use with the Microsoft Lync client in order to provide rich functionality beyond the features of traditional IP phones. Among features there is support for productivity features that are included in Microsoft Lync: Presence, Search and quick dialing from Lync contact list.
Among the advanced Lync features of the IP phones there are: Display buddy list and Presence for one touch dialing, transfer and hold key, advanced directory lookup via phone keypad.
According to the company, NextUC is fully compatible with Polycom CX5000, CX3000, CX700 and others; moreover, the company plans to add compatibility with other providers as well.
Currently, NextUC offers a limited time Free Trial, clients can sign up in the portal within a couple of minutes.
